If you have answered YES to any one of the questions, there is a definite warning that you MAY BE ALCOHOLIC. If you have answered YES to any two, the chances are that YOU ARE AN ALCOHOLIC. If you have answered YES to three or more, YOU ARE DEFINITELY AN ALCOHOLIC. The above questions are used by John Hopkins Hospital in deciding whether or not a patient is alcoholic.

My brother is an alcoholic. I believe the program I am going to tell you about would help him. The problem is my family won’t do it.

These people with drinking problems need lot of nutrients. Because they don’t eat right and the alcohol does lots of damage. Use natural nutrients because the liver already has all that alcohol to detox. Click on the link below to learn more about alkalization. Alcohol is acid. The first thing to do is alkalize.

alkalizing helps alcoholism

The person who drinks daily can have denial. He thinks he is in control. They think they can stop anytime. You must not be in denial, too. Don’t make excuses when he or she misses work or other circumstances. Don’t become the enabler after each drinking episode. Encourage the person to get help. Realize the person may have to hit the bottom to want to seek help. A tragedy like loss of family, financial ruin or ending up in prison can help them face reality. There are many good places to seek help.

My brother has been to several private clinics and hospitals. He will stay off up to a year or so and then when he gets under stress he will start back. My other brother lives next door to him and my mom. He has been drinking for years also but he has a family and he does eat, bathe, work and he has a family. He only drinks for one night at a time not days. He won’t try the method I will tell you about for his brother. I think he is afraid it will work and then he might be pressured to stop himself. My mother won’t support this method either because she believes in letting a person do what they won’t. She doesn’t She doesn’t believe in tough love to help a person you love.

I heard about this program a few years ago. It was being used in California. I thought at the time this program could work for some people. My brother is tender hearted and doesn’t like to hurt others. This is why I believe it could work for him. A professional should evaluate each person before starting any program.

The program is simple. Get all the family members together that have regular contact with this person. Get them to agree to tell the alcoholic in a family meeting how much his drinking is hurting them. They can talk about how seeing that person in that condition hurts them and how the drinking affects their lives. Tell this person he must make changes. Get the alcoholic to make a commitment. You should have a trained professional help you lead or monitor the discussion. Once the person sees how much he is hurting his family he will hopefully want to change. The family needs to be very supportive and see him through the next few years. They will need to show much TLC but be firm with what must be done. Get professional help with this.

After he is off the alcohol bring in friends to help support the alcoholic and family. The person will now feel he has a security blanket. This program can and does work for some people.

As I said earlier nutrition plays and important part. I have a three step plan to help restore health. First you must alkalize as I mentioned earlier. Our alkaline product also has collodial silver in it. To learn more about colloidal silver go to the link below that says collidal silver. Then you cleanse and then build. I feel in the case of an alcoholic cleansing should start after he is off the bottle and feeling some better. Then to build up the digestive system you will need to give him probiotics. To learn more about these subjects click on the links below.

Remember these people become depleted in all areas. Thanks you for visiting my site. Have questions. Fill out my Ask A Nurse form below.
